Created 1959 by nose Jean-Paul Guerlain, then 22-year old, relaunched 2000. He wanted to capture the smell of the gardener. Used to be darker. Roja Dove, who had worked for GUERLAIN quite some time, has created a vetiver that smells like the old one.

 

Bergamot, which reminds me of ACQUA DI PARMA: Colonia (1916), vetiver leading over into tobacco. Vetiver only slightly accentuated by grapefruit and the licorice.
